What does GOD give you?

The things and people you acquire for yourself in your life, how do you choose them? Do you really choose them or are they thrust upon you? Even if you do choose them, no one really has all the choices in the world.. So most probably you have a limited number of choices to choose from.. So the choices are thrust upon you... Is this concoction of circumstances, choices and resulting conclusion (confusion / commotion / call it what you may) - Is this the famously called ‘Destiny’. Destiny, the mischievous mistress or the mysterious missive handed down to mere mortals by the invisible hand of God..

So, what does GOD give you?

Does HE give you what you wish for?

Well.. Mostly he doesn’t, right? There have been very few blessed souls on this planet, at least in this Kali Yuga, who have had their wishes granted. It might also be due to the fact that most of us wish for the moon and the rest of us wish for the Moon, Mars and Pluto put together with a smattering of asteroids to taste. So we are told constantly, reminded relentlessly that HE does not give you what you want, instead HE gives you what is best for you.. Nice and comforting thought, eh? That takes us to the next question..

Does HE give you what is best for you?

Well the jury is still out on that one and the matter I guess is perpetually destined (yeah, it’s that lady destiny again) to be sub judice. Because, logically you can’t decide conclusively on what’s best for you until you have tried all options under the sun. Still, if you are a good guy and commit very few mistakes, then GOD being the kind hearted, noble and caring supreme being should logically give you what’s best for you.. So let’s for a moment assume that GOD gives you what’s best for you.. But is that really good for you? Lets park that thought for a moment and visit our third and thankfully final question.

Does HE give you what makes you happy?

Now... now... Even though GOD might give you what’s best for you, you might not be satisfied if that’s not what you had wished for. So you wouldn’t exactly be happy.

So what’s the solution for all of these? The solution is for us to do a proper pshyco-physio-socio analysis of one’s self and wish for what’s best for us. That way when GOD gives you what’s best for you, it will be exactly what you wish for and hence will make you happy.. Simple!!!!

Easier said than done. Right? Because in reality you have to consider another very fickle factor called as the MIND that constantly wishes for the Moon, Mars and Pluto put together...

That is why our desires and destiny don’t always match up...
